Privacy policy

Morphy is a desktop app made by Casper Apers. This page explains, in plain words, what information Morphy handles and where it goes. Questions or requests: casper.apers@gmail.com.
What we collect when you sign in
Morphy asks you to sign in with Google. From your Google account we receive only your basic profile — we ask for nothing else (no access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything in your account):
- your Google account ID,
- your name,
- your email address,
- a link to your profile picture,
plus the dates you first and last signed in. We use this only to give you access to Morphy and to contact you about Morphy (for example about your early-access seat or an important update). It is stored in our account database and a copy stays on your computer so you stay signed in.
The questions before the download
If you answer the few questions on the download page — what you'd like Morphy to help with, which AI tools you use and what you're working on — we keep those answers, plus whether you were on Windows, a Mac or a phone, to learn who Morphy's first users are and what to build next. They aren't linked to your name or email, and we don't store your IP address. Every question is optional.
Knowing you still use Morphy
Once a day, the app tells our server that it was opened: your account ID, the app's version number, whether you're on Windows, a Mac or Linux, and the date where you are. We store the time and that date on your account record, so we can see which early users keep coming back. Nothing about what you do in Morphy is sent — no chats, files, cards or canvas content.
What stays on your computer
Your canvases, cards, chats, files, notes, settings and any API keys you add live in Morphy's folder on your own computer. Morphy has no server that receives them, and we never see them.
AI providers you connect
When you chat with an agent, your messages — and whatever files or pages the agent reads to do its work — are sent directly from your computer to the AI provider you chose (for example Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for Codex, xAI for Grok, or OpenRouter), using your own account with that provider. They do not pass through us. That provider's own privacy policy applies to what you send them.
Morphy Remote (your phone)
If you switch on Morphy Remote, your phone talks to your computer directly over your own Wi-Fi network. Nothing passes through our servers.
Updates
Morphy checks GitHub for new versions and downloads them from there. Like any download, GitHub sees your IP address.
What we don't do
- No ads, and no third-party tracking or analytics — just the daily "opened" note above.
- We never sell or share your information.
- Google user data is used only to sign you in, in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Deleting your data
Email casper.apers@gmail.com from the address you signed in with and we will delete your account record. Uninstalling Morphy removes the app; your own files stay in Morphy's folder on your computer (%APPDATA%\Morphy on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/Morphy on a Mac) until you delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
